A recent report of urgent mental health commissioned by Lancashire & South Cumbria STP has been criticised after it was revealed mental health patients had received a lack of response from crisis teams, with some left on trolleys in hospital corridors overnight.
Amanda Doyle, a doctor and lead officer for the currently trialled non-mandated 'integrated care system' which includes mental health, admitted the report painted “a clear picture of where we have gone wrong and what we need to do to improve”.
